Things to Do in Mombasa
Old Town, Fort Jesus, the reef beaches and the day trips that leave from the city — how to spend your time on Kenya’s coast.

A private sail on the Indian Ocean as the light goes — flat water, a slow pace and the coastline turning gold behind you.
The last two hours of daylight are the best time to be on this ocean. The wind usually softens, the heat goes out of the day, and the light along the coast turns from white to gold to deep orange.
This is a private sail. The boat is yours, the pace is yours, and there is no schedule to keep beyond the sunset itself.
It is the simplest thing we offer and, for a lot of guests, the one they remember. It works as a quiet end to a busy week, and it works as an occasion — anniversaries, proposals, last nights. Tell us which it is when you book and we will arrange the evening accordingly.
Late afternoon
Meet the crew at the launch point and head out while the light is still high and the water is flat.
On the water
A slow sail along the coast with the land on one side and open ocean on the other. Nothing to do but sit.
Sunset
The boat is positioned for the sunset itself — the reason the trip exists.
Return
A short run back to the launch point, and your transfer to your hotel.
The launch point on the Mombasa coast is confirmed in writing with your booking.
Hotel pickup can be arranged from the north and south coast. Tell us where you are staying when you book.
